Finally, a chance to see two exhibitions!

Don’t miss the chance to see two excellent exhibitions of prints at the Ottawa School of Art (on George Street in the Byward Market), with OGPC members featured in both!

The first, in the ground floor vitrines, features prints from an OGPC Print Exchange with a group of printmakers in Northern Ireland. The theme is “Home“, something which has had a significance so far in 2020 that was unforeseen at the time the prints were made and exchanged.

The second is the Biennial Ottawa International Mini Print exhibition, featuring a wonderful variety of printmaking techniques and subjects in the 355 prints, by 135 artists from 21 countries. All works are for sale (early Christmas shopping!). The show runs until November 22, 2020 and information on the Gallery’s COVID-19 protocol is available on the OSA website https://artottawa.ca/category/news/ or by contacting Cathy Brake, Gallery Coordinator at boutique@artottawa.ca.

Print Exchange Book

In 2019, Deidre Hierlihy, a longstanding member of OGPC, completed a residency in Northern Ireland. On her return, she organized a print exchange among 20 artists from OGPC and the Omagh Printmaking Initiative with the theme of “Home”. Another of our members, Susan Cartwright, coordinated the publication of a book of the Canadian and Irish prints (and their descriptions) which has now been published.

If you wish to purchase a copy of the book, it is available to order on Blurb at cost+shipping: https://www.blurb.ca/b/10021095-home-a-print-exchange
